I think that movies are a beautiful art form that can take us away into other worlds and other hearts and minds and create something magical.

Re-Watch: Elektra (2005)

I was browsing my movie collection of what to watch and Elektra caught my eye. I haven't seen it in a number of years and popped it back in to review. I love Marvel films and own most of them on DVD or Blu-Ray. Jennifer Garner is one of my favorite actresses. Elektra is a spin-off movie from 2003's Daredevil where she plays the same character but is killed. Elektra opens with a narration about good and evil and a great warrior who comes back from the dead. Cut to Elektra, alive and well. A man sits in a chair telling his security team about Elektra and her talents, skills and how she came back from the dead. She's clearly an assassin, feared by many people.

Elektra is directed by Rob Bowman

Jennifer Garner is no amateur when it comes to delivering great action scenes, having worked on Alias for many years. As the film opens we see that she keeps her life as simple as possible, obsessively cleaning and doing her job. Through a flashback we see that she has attempted to learn Kimoguri, the ability to control time and the future with lots of combat fighting skills to go with it. She is unable to finish her training and it is assumed that she went from there to becoming an assassin. Elektra is a Marvel character and some of the villains that she faces in this movie are supernatural.

This guy's tattoo's of animals come to life. His character's name? Tattoo...

So okay here's the thing, it's pretty much universally disliked. It has a 10% on Rotten Tomatoes saying that "This comic book movie is an inert muddle that takes itself much too seriously". I think this movie could've been fun with all the various supernatural villains but I agree that it tries to hard to be a serious comic book movie, to be as depressing as the character is. Thank goodness for Jennifer Garner, though, because she is the redeeming factor that makes it bearable enough to keep watching.

She prefers to wear tight, red leather suits

Thirty minutes into the movie and there's not a laugh or enjoyable, light-hearted scene yet. I suppose the surprising part of this movie is its lack of surprises. There's nothing new or unique, Marvel was still getting its bearings of how to make a decent superhero movie. The "sassy" teenage girl in the movie doesn't offer any comic relief, instead she makes herself look immature and almost obnoxious. Her function in the movie is pretty clear as is her father's. She's apparently this all powerful warrior but she doesn't seem to be able to defend herself much so you sit watching the whole movie going, so why is this girl so special? Because she carries around warrior beads? Um... Sure.

Kirsten Prout plays Abby Miller

It's truly a shame that this movie wasn't something more fun, it could've been a great cult hit which such a captivating star, unfortunately it comes off as more of a joke due to its seriousness. The longer you watch the movie the more ridiculous it seems, a 30 second long shot of Elektra making out with the girl villain? Sure, she's already clad in leather the entire time, why not? All of the names seem unoriginal, "they call her The Treasure"? Really? The evil guys are Stone, Tattoo and Typhoid? He's built like stone, the other one has tattoos and she brings death. I don't see a lot of creativity there.

At least Jennifer Garner is a badass

Plus sides? The action is kinda fun to watch. Seeing some of the villains powers are cool. Jennifer Garner carries the entire movie. Down sides? Even though she carries it, it's not enough to make it a decent film. The seriousness never lets up and everyone seems to lack any type of humor in this film. Even the main villain doesn't seem that threatening, he throws around sheets and can move quickly letting most of the other more interesting villains do all the work.

Elektra found a mini-me! They even dyed her hair in the movie to make it more official

What's the question that we should be asking while watching this movie? Will Abby be able to escape The Hand? Will Elektra let go of her haunting past? I'm not really sure. Neither seems captivating enough to be truly motivating for an entire film. We don't know enough about these villains to understand why they are really after Abby other than the fact that she's a skilled warrior (without showing many skills by the way). No one gets much of a backstory besides Elektra, leaving the secondary characters to fall flat and to not give much support to the lead.

Fans of Jennifer Garner might enjoy this film, I remember liking it when I first saw it (before I knew much about what made a good story in a film) but it's still part of the Marvel universe and that's worth at least 1 watch for me.

My 10 Favorite TV Shows to Binge Watch

There are lots of great TV Shows out there past, present and future. There are many popular shows that are great that aren't on this list and before you call me out and say why isn't Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad or *insert name of TV show here* on this list?! It's probably because I haven't watched it yet or didn't care for it much. Everyone has their own tastes and we can't all like everything, right? That being said, here is a list of some shows that I love to watch over and over again. The stories are exciting and fun, the writing is good (mostly, sorry ANTM) and they aren't necessarily the best shows out there. However, they each have something that brings me back again and again. Plus, most if not all of these shows are currently streaming. I personally love to binge watch the following shows in order from least favorite to most favorite.

10. Ugly Betty (2006-2010)

Similar to the idea behind The Devil Wears Prada, a "frumpy" girl from Queens lands a job as a fashion magazine's Editor-in-Chief's assistant because his dad (the owner of the company) doesn't want him to be tempted to sleep with his assistants anymore. Luckily, Betty Suarez is a smart, go-getter who doesn't let the pretenses of her hire get her down. The writing of this show is great, it talks about one character's "coming out" from the closet, being proud of your hispanic heritage and of course lots of romantic relationships and high jinx.

I am not someone who is obsessed or even more than moderately interested in fashion but America Ferrera is great in this role, she is a positive role model for young girls who are pursuing their dreams. Her character gives hope that even if you don't fit in at first, do your best and prove yourself through your talents not because you look like everyone else. While Betty is constantly made fun of by other co-workers at Mode, she still prevails and makes some friends in the process. It's very soap-operaesque so be warned that it's fairly dramatic but the fun part is that the show owns up to that fact and plays it off by having a fake soap opera on the show that Betty's father watches.

Also, how great and beautiful (inside and out) is Betty's transformation from Season 1 to Season 4?

Betty, Season 1
Betty, Season 4
The show inspired many girls who felt "ugly" that they are truly beautiful just like Betty, whether they had braces or not. I think that's a great reason to watch this show, it's inspiring to young girls. Ugly Betty has been nominated for 4 Golden Globes with 2 wins, nominated for 19 Primetime Emmys with 3 wins and many other various awards, for a full list of the show's nominations and wins click Here. It is currently streaming on Netflix Instant so check it out! My favorite episode is "East Side Story" the Season 1 finale.

9. Food Network TV Shows (1993-  )

I am not the best cook that's for sure, however, I love to watch food network and see other people cook and see restaurants that are failing and restaurants with bad employees and watching famous chefs eat lots of food. The drama is there, people, you just need to know where to look for it.

Ace of Cakes (2006-2011), Food Network Challenge, Mystery Diners (this show is addicting!), Chopped, Cupcake Wars, Restaurant: Impossible, Diners Drive-ins and Dives, Emeril Live (this show was the best but is no longer airing), Guy's Grocery Games, Unwrapped (also no longer showing but is one of my favs), and Good Eats (Alton Brown at his finest) are just some of the great shows that air on Food Network. Just trust me, these shows are addicting. Some of these shows were just added to Netflix Instant so have yourself a food network marathon! My favorite show right now is either Restaurant: Impossible or Mystery Diners.

8. America's Next Top Model (2003-  )

If you have the Oxygen channel then you know that about every 4 days or so there's an entire season of ANTM marathoning on the channel. Tyra, aspiring models living together in a house, judging people on how they look in a photo, what's not to love? I love to binge watch this show, once you start an episode it's hard not to watch and see who wins!

Plus, the most recent season introduced us to guys being in the house. Unfortunately, the season was focused much more on romantic dramas in the house than of the actual modeling. I didn't think there were that many outstanding models in that cycle either. Here's to hoping cycle 21 is improving it. Cycle 21 is currently airing on tv and some previous seasons are available to stream on Amazon Prime. My favorite season is the All-Star cycle or College Edition.

7. Once Upon A Time (2011- )

You'll see later down on the list that Lost is on here. The writers of Lost created this show so there are little Lost "easter eggs" hidden throughout the show and I just think that's great. Once is about fairy tale characters who are cursed and forced to remain in our world and are stuck in a town called Storybrooke. The problem is they don't remember who they really are and only Emma Swan, a stranger from our world, can break the curse. I just love this show, the first season was great trying to figure out who was who in Fairy Tale Land. It's fun.

The fantasy and the drama are well done here, lots of Lost alums show up and the villains are truly the stand out characters of the show making it all the more exciting. I highly recommend checking out the first season, I've introduced the show to multiple friends who loved it. It's currently streaming on Netflix Instant and has been nominated for 5 Primetime Emmys. There's also a spin-off to the show called Once Upon A Time in Wonderland featuring new characters and delving into the worlds of Alice in Wonderland and Aladdin. My fav episode is "Pilot" or maybe "Hat Trick".

6. Arrested Development (2003-2006) brought back (2013)

If you've never seen this show, shame on you. It's excellent. Smart, witty, quick, hilarious, unique, original. It's wonderful. I don't even want to write more about it. It's just so good you can watch any episode at any time and find a new joke you might've missed or just laugh at the same hilarious jokes all over again. In 2013 the show actually came back and although it was still funny and added more jokes for all our favorite characters I am still preferable to the earlier seasons.

Arrested Development has been nominated for 4 Golden Globes with 1 win and nominated for 25 Primetime Emmys with 16 wins. Read the whole list here. This show is streaming on Netflix Instant. Difficult to pick a fav episode here but possibly "Motherboy XXX"/ "Good Grief"/ "In God We Trust"/ any time that Tobias is dressed up for the Blue Man Group.

5. Lost (2004-2010)

There is a simply reason why this show isn't higher on this list. It's because it's difficult to just binge watch this from a random point if you haven't seen the show multiple times and know it pretty thoroughly. If you're familiar with the show you can just pick up on any episode and know okay this is the season where so and so happens. Otherwise, if you're not as familiar it's hard to do that because you get (for lack of a better word or because I love puns) lost. The series is very much something to be viewed chronologically. Luckily, the first season is easily the best one. If you've never seen the show and you like the works of J.J. Abrams (Alias, Star Trek) you'll enjoy this show. I love fantasy and this show is great. The writing and characters are truly great and they are different enough that you don't get confused with such a big cast. It's one of my favorites of all time. (Yes I own the super duper box set of all the seasons and little knick-knacks it comes with). I love flashbacks and this show is a great example of how to use them properly. If you weren't aware, Lost is about a bunch of survivors of a plane crash on a mysterious island and you journey with them through their past and present as they attempt to get off the island.

Lost has had over 250 various nominations including 2 Golden Globe wins and 19 nominations, 9 Primetime Emmy wins and 51 nominations. Check them all out here. So look this show was pretty good, clearly. I suggest you check it out. It's all streaming on Netflix Instant. My favorite episode (and one of my favorite episodes of TV ever) is "The Constant". I loved that episode so much I've named stuff after it.

4. Veronica Mars (2004-2007)

I won't write much because I recently reviewed the Veronica Mars movie that just came out but the TV show is excellent, all the writing and characters are great. It's a fun detective show that's not just another average drama, it's clever and interesting. The first season is fantastic. Kristen Bell is magical as Veronica and all of the supporting cast are excellent too. It is definitely worth watching, just trust me.

The show was recently Kickstarter fan funded for a movie and as a fan of the show it was worthwhile. Check out my thoughts on the Veronica Mars movie here. The show was nominated for some smaller awards and won the AFI TV Program of the Year in 2006. The show is streaming on Amazon Prime (I believe). If you're friends with me, I'll loan you my DVDs. My fav episode is "Weapons of Class Destruction".

3. Psych (2006-2014) (Sadly ended this year)

This show is one of the greatest and most under appreciated shows on television. They've just finished up their 8th and final season of the show and it's out on DVD now. James Rhoday plays Shawn Spencer, a fake psychic working for the police department in Santa Barbara and he uses his well-trained skills of keen observation to solve crimes. They've done a 2-hour musical episode, they had some amazing guest stars, they have great catch phrases, great characters, the chemistry between James Rhoday and Dule Hill is incredible, are you getting the picture yet? This show is excellent and funny, most people who I have recommended this show to have loved it. It's addicting. Each episode has a theme and often times a tribute to some sort of 80's pop culture movie or show or actor or singer. They put a pineapple hidden in every episode. The great thing is that for the most part you can watch any random episode and not feel lost and just enjoy it (just make sure you watch the pilot first so you can catch the premise). It's so funny, I just love it. I'm sad to see it go but 8 seasons is more than most of the other shows on this list got so I'm grateful they had the time that they did. There are so many quotable lines! Wait for ittttt.....

I have so much love for this show. You should watch it. It's streaming on Netflix Instant. Psych has been nominated for 1 Primetime Emmy and nominated for many various other awards. My personal favorite episode is titled "Shawn Takes A Shot in the Dark".

2. Joss Whedon's Shows: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003), Angel (1999-2004), Dollhouse (2009-2010), Firefly (2002-2003)

These need no explanation but all of these shows are great to binge watch anytime. Buffy is always good, I am personally preferable to the earlier seasons but it's all fun to watch. Angel was a little bit harder for me to get into but once it gets it "groove" is worthwhile. Dollhouse is probably my favorite of these four shows it's very smart and interesting. Firefly is the shortest but has the biggest heart. All of these shows are perfect to sit down on a free afternoon and just watch some episodes. It certainly helps if you are familiar with the on going plots of each show but regardless each of these have really fun episodes to enjoy.

Buffy was nominated for 1 Golden Globe and was nominated for 14 Primetime Emmys with 2 wins, Angel was nominated for 1 Primetime Emmy and Firefly won 1 Primetime Emmy. All four of these shows are currently streaming on Netflix Instant. You should check them out. They are great to binge watch, especially if you're looking for a new show. The writing is top notch. My fav Buffy episodes are "Once More with Feeling" (great musical episode) and "The Body" (One of the greatest episodes of television in history).

1. Gilmore Girls (2000- 2007)

The reason why this show is number one on my list? Easy. I've seen it more than any other show on television. I'd estimate that I've seen the entire series about 8-10 times all the way through. The best box set I ever spent my money on was this one because I've gotten the most use out of it. The show is well-written, it's known for how quick and witty their dialogue is. It's so fast that Gilmore Girls has a page and a half to other show's one page of script. It's impressive and memorable, the unique small town that could make any viewer want to visit there is Stars Hollow. It's full of interesting and somewhat crazy characters but it certainly feels like home when you watch it. The witty banter is great, the acting is good, this show is warm and captivating to watch. It has romance, drama, family, death, life, etc. The beautiful thing about this show is how relatable it is. Even though you might not be a Gilmore Girl yourself you get so involved with these character's lives that you feel like you are one.

Gilmore Girls is now streaming on Netflix Instant. HOORAY! Even the biggest movie buff like myself (she says humbly), has a hard time keeping up with all the references they throw out in the show. A lot of them aren't "did you see that movie with so and so that was great!" it's more of some reference or line FROM the actually thing that they're referencing. It's clever when you watch it. Gilmore Girls was nominated for 1 Golden Globe, 2 SAG Awards, and won 1 Primetime Emmy. My favorite episode is "They Shoot Gilmores, Don't They?" about the 24-hour dance marathon.

I hope you enjoyed my list, comment with some of your favorites below. Honorable mentions include: Seinfeld, 30 Rock, Friends and Parks & Rec. I also hope I might've interested you in your next rainy day binge watching marathon with some of these choices. I'm always in the middle of watching at least 1 show that I've seen before, a bunch of new and current shows (OUAT, Agents of SHIELD, Dancing with the Stars, Selfie, A to Z, The Flash, etc.) and I try and watch a new show on Netflix (Currently watching The West Wing for the first time!). Hope you enjoy my list!

Flight (2012)

Plane Crashes, Denzel, and Alcoholics!

I like the left poster better than the one on the right. Denzel just looks so pissed off. How dare you rain when I'm trying to fly a plane. Either way I like the simplicity of the left poster.

Okay so here's the thing, Robert Zemeckis knows his stuff. Back to the Future? Check. Forrest Gump? Check. Cast Away? Check. But you're calling your movie Flight? That title just feels uncreative to me.

Denzel, as usual, is in fine form here. An interesting man who struggles with a broken family but is a truly great pilot. The movie opens on what was a hazardous but seemingly regular night of partying for Whip Whitaker and he is with one of the stewardesses of the flight. He is still drunk from the night before so naturally, to sober up, he snorts some cocaine and he's ready to go. The plane malfunctions, due to manufacturing parts and because Whip is such a talented pilot he manages to land the plane and only have 6 casualties whereas other pilots who simulated the crash killed each passenger everytime. As it is constantly said in the movie, "I'm the only one who could've landed that plane".

How to Land a Crashing Plane

The movie is about his story as an in-denial alcoholic who struggles to reveal the truth to the public about what truly happened on the plane. His performance as Whip is very real and sometimes a little difficult to watch. I found myself saying, don't grab that bottle man. Come, on! Don't do it. Then of course, you know he does. He's an alcoholic.

Flying Inverted!

I liked his character, he was powerful and he certainly carried the movie. He was almost like watching a plane crash himself as he went along struggling with the fact that six people were killed on his plane and whether he was responsible or the faulty plane was responsible for their deaths. At one point he struggles with revealing the truth so much that he urged others to lie for him and help him from going to jail.

For once, the black girl wasn't killed. Just conveniently the only one who was with Whip when he was drinking the night before.

I disliked the forced relationship with the "pretty junkie" that he met in the hospital. When they showed her story before they meet I struggled to see the connection between her and Whip but then of course they meet and he has a saviour complex so he rescues her from her utterly clique ridden landlord. I didn't care for her love of photography (...okay? What does this have to do with the plane crash? She should've taken pictures of the plane!) or her drug and drinking problem. I just didn't really care about her story at all and her relationship with Whip was too forced and then it ended and she just left and he never talked about her again until we see that he has pictures of her in his jail cell. Sorry was that a spoiler? OF COURSE HE GOES TO JAIL! He admits to drinks and doing drugs the night before and morning of piloting an aircraft full of 102 people. Come on, now.

Adorable?

Despite its flaws I did like this movie. I mean Don Cheadle's in it. That's always good. Bruce Greenwood plays Whip's friend and someone who genuinely cares for and tries to help him. Also John Goodman as a hippie drug dealer here is super fantastic. He is a nice, yet brief, comic relief to the film. Fun Fact: Bruce Greenwood had previously worked with Denzel Washington in the movie Deja Vu.

Don Cheadle looking sharp with glasses

I liked seeing the suspense during the plane crash, that was well done. The acting was great. I wished that we could've seen more during the plane crash or perhaps Denzel's character having nightmare flashbacks of the crash. This movie was a little intense with all the drinking and emotional baggage that it carries but it was another great performance from Denzel Washington and that always warrants a viewing in my book.

Denzel looking not too happy about being confronted.
Flight was nominated for two Oscars: Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for Denzel Washington and Best Writing, Original Screenplay for John Gatins. This movie is at a 78% on Rotten Tomatoes

Lilo and Stitch (2002)

Yes, it took me 12 years to see this movie. Don't judge me.

Lilo & Stitch Movie Poster

What a sweet heartwarming film this was. It made me miss Hawaii that's for sure. Sweet little Lilo doesn't fit in with her friends and her older sister, who struggles to keep a job, is left to raise her alone after their parents died in a car crash. Don't worry Disney, no one expects any of your characters to actually have both of their parents. Except Rapunzel in Tangled... anyway this movie is set in Hawaii and tells the story of Ohana, which means family and family means no one gets left behind.

Hawaiian Dancing

I liked that the movie talked about having a difficult family life and it is mentioned that her family is broken but they are still, in fact, a family. You root for Nani to be able to keep custody of her sister despite their arguing and sisterly ways, it's very powerful to watch. When Nani sees her sister wish for an angel to come and be her friend they go to the animal shelter to adopt a dog. Cue in Stitch, he's an alien from another planet but is very smart and highly adaptive. He pretends to be a dog and Lilo being unique as she is wants him immediately.

Stitch is... Unique

The film follows their adventures together as Lilo teaches Stitch about Elvis and Stitch avoids being captured and brought back home as a prisoner because he is dangerous and destructive. He learns about what family means (hint, OHANA!) and changes his destructive ways to help Lilo and to join her family.

Lilo Teaches Stitch How to Move

I teared up at one point. This movie is so sweet. I find that having dogs myself made me want to cuddle with them while I watched this movie... only my golden retriever likes to cuddle though:

Me Snuggling with my Dog

This movie is fun and enjoyable for the family and has great Hawaii and Elvis music. Lilo's relationship with Stitch is cute and funny. The Hawaiian music, surfing, beautiful animation and great storytelling make this movie solid. It is worth watching.

Lilo and Stitch

Lilo and Stitch was nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. It is currently at 86% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Veronica Mars (The Movie) (2014)

Veronica Mars Movie Poster

I will try and keep my spoilers to a minimum here, I'll give warnings. That being said, I'm a big Veronica Mars fan. I grew up reading Nancy Drew books and about two years ago I discovered this TV show. It's crime solving, witty, well-written, fun, and just all around great. The first season, marvelous. The second season, pretty good. The third season, eh it was okay. The strong characters are what really carried this for me. So I'm sure you've read about it online but this is the first film to be fully funded using a Kickstarter. It was a great idea. You can tell because of all the bandwagoning.

Veronica Back in Action Taking Photos
This film is made for the fans, which is how it should be. It's not out there trying to be an Oscar contender. It's made because there were thousands of fans of this show years after it's airing was cut short and I love that it was made, released in theaters, and a sort of relief for fans like myself to know the answer of the question: Do Veronica and Logan finally get together, for real?

Logan meets Veronica at the Airport

I think something I love about this TV show is how much of a family the cast is together. I mean just look at them:
Series Creator and Movie Director Rob Thomas with the Cast

The movie is basically a TV Movie that was popular enough to be released in theaters (think High School Musical 3... yes I did see that in theaters, thank you very much. No I'm not ashamed of it.) It's fun and exciting to see all of your favorite characters back together for Neptune High's 10-Year Reunion (which there wasn't enough scenes of in my opinion). The film started with a typical Veronica Mars voiceover, catching up the new audiences and reminding the old about the generalities of what happened in the TV show.

When I watch something I like to think about what motivates the characters actions, I ask the question "Why are they the way they are?". This series and particularly this movie does a good job of addressing that question. Can Veronica simply forget about her life as a P.I., something she is "addicted to" and good at? This is the idea behind the movie. Those who watched the show will remember the devastating (too harsh?)... upsetting series finale where Veronica's choices had high costs to those she cared about, specifically her father. But don't worry, their relationship is as good as ever in the movie.

Veronica and Keith Mars

The film is full of winks and nods to the shows fans, lines of dialogue, old characters like Celeste Kane popping up, and other fun things. There is suspense and intrigue. I went with my mom to see this movie and at one point she grabbed my hand in shock during a highly suspenseful scene.

*
*
I will mention something that is potentially a *Spoiler*. I didn't like how Veronica handled things with Piz. I won't go into to detail as to not give much away but it wasn't something that I felt was a great attribute to her character in the movie. She brushed him off in a rude way and seemed to feel no remorse or upset afterwards and it's never brought up again. This is after the beginning of the film has set up that they are in a serious committed relationship....

Veronica and Piz

I enjoyed seeing this movie, it was fun and as a big fan of the show was a nice way to continue the story. I say continue because the film is left open ended for sequels. For fans of the show I say go see this movie or rent it on VOD. If you haven't seen the show, it's worth watching Kristen Bell is great and the show is wonderful.

The movie currently at a 75% on Rotten Tomatoes

Veronica, Wallace and Mac

The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)

...Or as I like to think of it: A visually stunning movie that was practically scrumptious enough to eat.

The Grand Budapest Hotel Movie Poster

I have a deep love for unique movie posters. I have a Pinterest board dedicated to some of my favorite ones... check it out HERE. The poster for this was enough to interest me in seeing the film. I saw Ralph Fiennes, who plays M. Gustave, on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon showing a clip of the movie and had completely decided to see this.

Ralph Fiennes as M. Gustave H

This film was great, Jude Law narrates, which is always a plus in my book, the cast is in great form, I was pleasantly surprised with how quick and witty Fiennes' comedic timing was. Visually, this movie stands out as a great piece of art.

Jason Schwartzman as M. Jean and Jude Law as The Young Writer

The story line comes second to the cinematography but it's still worthwhile. I loved the layered stories and each character was unique enough to not be confused with such a big cast. I suppose it helps that most of the faces are recognizable on their own. Oh how I do love Edward Norton.

Edward Norton as Henckles

There's lots of great actors who show up in the film. I mean, come on, who doesn't love Jeff Goldblum? I loved the astounding wide shots that were almost like a character themselves in the movie. I tip my hat to Anderson who created such unique and clever shots.

Jeff Goldblum as Deputy Kovacs
I loved the performance by Tony Revolori, especially the bit with the mustache, every male in the film has a mustache. I love little details like that in a film.

Tony Revolori as Zero

The audience I saw it with, in a packed theater on a Friday night, was laughing the entire time. There was some applause as the credits appeared at the end (usually a rarity now-a-days), and many people stayed during the credits.

This one is definitely worth seeing. It's beautiful and lovely.

It is currently at 91% on Rotten Tomatoes
